Tackling Brexit: Refugee Integration and Social Media

Reading Group #2 on Tuesday 18th September at 7pm

Tuesday Reading Group, Tackling Brexit: Refugee Integration and Social Media

Join us for a reading group exploring the use of social media as a form of positive integration for refugees expressed through a recent study on the use of social media as crucial to tackling the challenges of integration.

This month’s reading group will extend to the topic of current controlling of immigration in the Brexit debate. We will be discussing ways of supporting people of colour, current UK immigrants and the global movement of people which happens constantly, in every country and involves all of us.

How can social media, networks and social movements aid in supporting a positive digital presence for representing the ‘refugee’?

All writings are read together in the group so you don’t need to read them in advance. Extra copies will be available for attendees to take home and share with kin.
